The Ottawa Community Support Coalition works together to strengthen community support services – for the health and independence of older adults and adults with disabilities in the City of Ottawa. This will be achieved through collaboration among providers with an aim to continuously improve services.
The Ottawa Community Support Coalition is a multi-agency network of member organizations that deliver community support services, throughout urban and rural Ottawa to older adults and adults with disabilities to help them maintain health and independence at home in their own communities.
The Ottawa Community Support Coalition member agencies practice and promote the common goals of community-based, not for profit health and social service organizations. Members come together to share information, in both official languages, to sustain partnerships that contribute to a network of services and to conduct our core work.
The core work for the Ottawa Community Support Coalition, as identified in our 2015-2018 work plan include:
- Communication and Collaboration
- Building Capacity
- Analyzing our Gaps and Strengths in Services
- Inform, Influence, Advocate & Build Awareness
