The OCSC, funded through the Champlain Local Health Integration Network (LHIN), consist of three employees who work in downtown Ottawa.

In order to respond to the needs of seniors and adults with physical disabilities, the OCSC staff works very closely with the 20  CSS agencies that meet on a regular basis.  It is through those meetings and ongoing communication that best practices, areas of expertise and resources are shared amongst them.

While the elected members of the OCSC Executive Committee oversee the development and implementation of the annual work plan, each member of the OCSC staff and many CSS agency representatives are also involved in Champlain wide initiatives, working groups, and community representation.

The OCSC is also a member of the Ontario Community Support Association (OCSA) and the Champlain Community Support Network (CCSN).  As an active member of these two organizations, the Ottawa region is well connected with outside resources that keep the needs of seniors and adults with physical disabilities at the forefront of future planning.
